• Will: Gives instructions on how to handle your property after you die. It acts as a guide so your estate can be distributed according to your wishes.  
• Revocable living trust: Determines how your assets will be handled after you die. This document is created during your lifetime, and you can change or cancel provisions of the trust at any time. 
• Advanced Medical Directive: Allows you to direct how you want medical decisions made for you if you are unable to make those decisions for yourself. These documents can dictate who you would want to make medical decisions on your behalf, and they describe the types of care you do or do not want in certain situations.
• Power of Attorney: Authorizes someone to handle certain matters, such as finances or health care, on your behalf. If a power of attorney is durable, it remains in effect if you become incapacitated.
